Our Medical Advantage Plans

With a Geisinger Gold Medicare Advantage plan, you can get coverage that includes more than Original Medicare Part A and Part B. We cover more than a Medicare Supplement plan too. Anyone eligible for Medicare can join.* Premiums are not age-related.

Vision and hearing benefits, preventive care like mammograms, help with managing heart conditions and high blood pressure through special programs, fitness center discounts, and other programs.

Prescription drug coverage

Plans may include or you can purchase benefits for the medications you need, including both brand name and generic drugs.

Choices in the medical professionals you use

We currently contract with 75 hospitals and more than 15,000 doctors in Pennsylvania to provide medical care for our members. Take a look at our Provider Directory (list of health care professionals) to find out which medical professionals are in our network.

Geisinger Gold has five types of Medicare Advantage plan choices.**

Geisinger Gold Classic plans offers broad coverage with fixed costs for seeing medical professionals and includes extra benefits like preventive care.

Geisinger Gold Open plans has the flexibility in the medical professionals you can use.

Geisinger Gold Reserve plan includes a medical spending account to help with health care expenses

Geisinger Gold Preferred plan will allow you to make choices about the medical professionals you see.

Geisinger Gold Secure plans for individuals eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid or in skilled nursing facilities.

You may qualify for extra help from Medicare to assist with paying for your Prescription Drug Coverage. See additional information.

You may also qualify for help through PACE or PACENET programs.
