Annual Election Period
People with Medicare can enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan or Medicare prescription drug plan (like all the Geisinger Gold options) or make changes to their benefits during the Annual Election Period. For 2008 coverage, the Annual Election Period is from November 15, 2007, to December 31, 2007.
Open Enrollment Period
For 2008, if you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage or Medicare Prescription Drug Plan, you may make one change during the Open Election Period (OEP) from January 1 through March 31, 2008.
If you want to change plans during the Open Enrollment Period, you must move to the same type of plan (regarding Medicare prescription drug coverage) in which you are already enrolled. Initial Coverage Election Period
This period begins three months before you are first eligible for both Medicare Part A and Part B.
